Biography

Since starting life as underground producers and party promoters in 1995, putting out their first tracks on shrink wrapped vinyl and throwing hush-hush raves in abandoned South London pizza joints, Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton, collectively known as Basement Jaxx, have taken the electronic music world by storm.

Basement Jaxx have developed into a remarkable live act – an all out sensory assault featuring live musicians, an army of singers and dazzling visuals. Highlights include 2005 when they headlined the main stage at the ultimate festival, Glastonbury, and also playing infront of 30,000 people at Hyde Park in 2009.

2010 saw Simon & Felix return to their DJ’ing roots. From hometown gigs in downtown Brixton to massive US raves, from Space in Ibiza to the Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, the Jaxx continued to bring their unique brand of mayhem to dancefloors around the world.

Now 2013 looks set to be a massive year for the duo. RockNess – get ready for a monster party.
