Things are looking pretty good at the moment i think. The line up has gone down pretty well thus far and i think there is a lot of positive anticipation about the forthcoming Strokes album. Julian has made it clear that RockNess is going to be one of very few Strokes shows all year so i think the interest of seeing them live is definitely going to keep growing.

Getting Vampire weekend has been a real coup for us. They’re really hot at the moment and the perfect band to play before The Strokes and I think its the first time a band has played both TITP and Rock Ness in the same summer. To be honest i think its a shame that more acts don’t play both especially the newer acts who are lower down the bill. Its not easy to arrange and you have to work things out like announcements etc but hopefully we’ll see more of it in the future. Saying this, I don’t think that too many acts should do it and headliners is a complete no no as its important for both festivals to keep their own identity but when there is an act that wants to play both and who aren’t in the UK that often i don’t think you have the same problem of them overplaying. Anyway respect to TITP for meeting us half way on this and making it happen and i think both festivals are the better for having them on.
